Barefoot Indigo is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit as of November 13 2015. It has been brewing for a long time and I am SO happy that we are official!
I am creating a community with a central “hub” which is the physical center. The center is a homestead where we come together as people and as families.
Giving a big chunk of credit to Kate Tokarski for her dedication and collaboration so far, she did most of the writing below…
What is Barefoot Indigo?
It’s a community. It’s a state of mind. And it’s a group of likeminded people, collaborating and reconnecting to share a simpler way of life:
● farm-to-table food
● support for pregnancy through childbirth and lactation
● daycare and office space for working parents
● after school programs for kids including dance, yoga, scouting fine arts and drama
● a cozy place to recharge your batteries with every conceivable healing modality.
It is a a Homestead where you bring your family to enjoy locally grown and prepared organic GMO-free meals – or to pick something up to take home to enjoy at the end of a busy workday.
It is a place where you get your work done – with all the conveniences of an office – when you have a child who is learning to socialize, who needs to be cared for so you can focus.
It is a place for ALL of your kids to come after school – for dance and yoga and scouts and theater and fine arts. For people of all ages with special needs and special gifts. We provide transportation from school to our facilities, so you can finish your workday with peace of mind…and meet up with your kids fulfilled, relaxed and ready to enjoy time with them.
barefoot indigo is here to take care of You… I invite your best self to shine through Yoga, Meditation, Reiki, Aromatherapy and other Eastern and Western healing practices.
They say it takes a village to raise a child. I know it takes a tribe…the Barefoot Indigo tribe!
I believe in the beauty within you. Allow me to inspire you and make your dream a reality, for the wellbeing our children, our families, our community, our world.
I’d love to involve current organizations and local people who are inspired to help so when you are ready, let me know!
